Mario Nottas

Mario Nottas is a scholar /education activist in Journalism and Technology. He studied Sociology, Economics and Communication Science at Deree College and Boston University.
As part of his affiliation to Athena Research Center (Communication Science Lab 2003-2009) and Austrian public university DUK, he heads the interdisciplinary Master of Arts Program “Quality Journalism and New Technologies”, M.A.
The Program is part of the European Communication Institute based in Vienna, a Synergy of public European research and higher education institutions, in Austria and Hellas. MN serves ECI as executive member of the board. He supervises Graduate Studies and Research in Communication and Emerging Technologies including ways to promote citizen – level European Integration.
MN’s interests focus on Citizen Literacy and developments / initiatives which upgrade Citizen’s role in matters of decision taking and digital / human rights.
