Angeliki Vasileiou
A lawyer by trade with a knack for puzzles and a flair for science, Angeliki stumbled upon the world of Bioethics by chance and soon became enthralled by it.
After completing her legal studies in Komotini, Greece, and during her traineeship in Athens, she started attending a plethora of seminars, ranging from the history of Astronomy and Cosmology to the connections between microbiology and political philosophy.
She went on to pursue a master’s degree in Bioethics at Harvard Medical School and did a capstone project on responsible conduct of research (RCR) with PRIMP&R.
Her goal is to build bridges between law, society and science. She is particularly drawn to the legal and ethical aspects of biotechnological advances and works to promote awareness of and deliberation over the new era in the field, especially in conjunction with artificial intelligence.
Her focal point of interest could be recapped as ‘how to educate and serve those who educate and serve’.
