Dr Antonis Litke has more than 19 years of experience as a professional IT engineer. He has held the positions of Operations Director, R&D Manager, Technical Manager, Project Manager and Software Engineer in various companies and for large scale projects that were involving multinational teams. Dr. Litke has participated as Τechnical Μanager and Researcher in many EU funded projects in the areas of cloud computing, Internet of Things, smart cities, cybersecurity and Big Data. He has led technical teams for highly demanding private IT projects and has been responsible for fine tuning operational procedures for critical IT systems development. Dr. Litke has worked as an expert evaluator for the FP7 ICT Programme, he has served as Technical Consultant for Evaluation Committee of the Information Society SA and is technical advisor at the Greek Association of Computer Engineers. He has worked also as an adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Ioannina, at the Harokopio University and at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
Dr Antonis Litke is a Lecturer in the Hellenic Army Academy and senior researcher at the Institute of Communication and Computer Systems at the National Technical University of Athens. He has received the diploma from the Dept. of Computer Engineering and Informatics of the University of Patras, Greece in 1999, and the PhD from Electrical and Computer Engineering Department of National Technical University of Athens in 2006. He is the author of more than 45 scientific articles (with over 600 citations) and a reviewer of several international journals and conferences. His research interests include edge computing, parallel and distributed computing, Service-Oriented Architectures and blockchains.
