Titular Metropolitan of the Church of Greece

Metropolitan Athanasios of Achaia was born in Athens, Greece in 1950. BA Letters and Theology (University of Athens). Master in Theology (Istituto Orientale, Rome). DPhil at Oxford University.

Keeper of manuscripts, National Library of Greece (1983-1994). Professor in the Ecumenical Institute of Bossey and Chambesy in Geneva, then in Fribourg, Switzerland and in Rome. Currently he is visiting Prof in the University “Logos”, Tirana, Albania.
