Dr. Ioannis Patiniotis

Dr. Ioannis Patiniotis, born in Piraeus with origins in Kea and Santorini, is a distinguished figure with a rich family life, having two children and two grandchildren. He fulfilled his military duties as a reserve Second Lieutenant in the Greek Army.
His academic journey began with a degree in Accounting from the Piraeus School of Economics, followed by a Diploma in Shipping. He holds an MBA from Kingston University in the UK and a Ph.D. in Economics from the European University in Switzerland. He has furthered his education through numerous programs in Shipping, Economics, Law, Taxation, Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, Tokens, Leadership, Environmental Studies, Psychology, and Human Capital Management.
Professionally, Dr. Patiniotis has served the shipping industry since 1976, initially in accounting until 1997 and then in Financial Management from 1998 to the present. He also worked as a Tax Consultant for five years, both independently and for a major maritime law firm. While pursuing his doctoral studies, he lectured on Strategic Management at the European University, focusing on maritime company strategies.

During the period of Corona, he has continued his education in coaching leadership, earning diplomas from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Positive Pshycology from the Hellenic Society of Positive Psychology and certifications from the International Coaching Federation.
During last years (2023-2024) he has successfully completed courses at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) on Artificial Intelligence, Strategy and Entrepreneurship, and Blockchain, Tokens, Crypto-Currency, Smart Contracts, and Crypto-Assets.
Dr. Patiniotis is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Hellenic Association of Maritime Economists (ENOE), the Association of Greek Shipping Banking and Financial Executives, the Council of Maritime Experts, the Association of Greek Financial Managersthe, the Hellenic Think Tank “Ark of Holistic Education”, the International Coaching Federation, and the charity organization “Life Line”.
Dr. Patiniotis is a member of the Piraeus and Cyprus Maritime Clubs, the Yacht Club of Greece, the Athens Club, a lifetime member of the Propeller Club of the U.S.A., a founding member of the St. Nicholas Business Club, and a member of AHEPA Chapter HJ-45 St. Nicholas. He is also an active athlete, participating in open sea sailing with P.O.I.A.TH in Mikrolimano, golf at P.A.G.E.S in Glyfada, and tennis at the Mouratoglou Tennis Center.
With a background in wine tasting from WSPC of the UK and a diploma in Wine Tourism from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Dr. Patiniotis speaks English fluently, has basic knowledge of French, understands music, and has studied voice training. He also served as a radio producer, analyzing economic theories, and has delivered numerous lectures on Uncertainty, Positive Psychology, and Artificial Intelligence.
His radio shows on NgRadio during 2018-2019 years and his poetry are available on Spotify under the name Dr. Truth Says. As an author, he writes under the pseudonym “Yiannis Alithias” or “Dr. Truth,” producing works in Economics, Social Studies, and poetry in both Greek and English, published in Greece and the United States.
