Emeritus Professor of Political Economy of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Dean of the School of Economics, Management and Informatics of Neapolis Paphos University. Today he is President of the Academic Council of the Mediterranean College Athens.
From May 2020, by decision of the Prime Minister, he was appointed a member of the Quality Assessment Committee of the Preparatory Procedure of the Hellenic Parliament.
Been Member of the Senate of the University of Thessaly and Professor and Chairman of the Departments of (a) Economics and (b) Spatial Planning and Regional Development.
Also Visiting Professor at the Graduate Institute of Regional Development of the Pantheon University of Social Sciences, at Nagoya University in Japan, at the University of Economics in Prague and at the Dauphine University in Paris.
Been Secretary General of Community Resource Management at the Greek Ministry of Employment, Special Advisor to the Public Enterprise for Settlement and Housing, Management Advisor to the Hellenic Industrial Development Bank, Director of the Continuing Education Institute of the National Center for Public Administration and National Expert of the Joint Research Center (JRC) of the European Commission in Ispra, Italy.
Also a member of the Board of Directors. of the Athens Stock Exchange and the Hellenic Telecommunications Organization S.A.
