Dr. Konstantinos Kalachanis

Professor Konstantinos Kalachanis  holds a degree from the Department of Philosophy-Pedagogics-Psychology of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens  and in 2011he received his Phd Degree in Philosophy. He also holds a master’s degree in “Environmentand Health Capacity Building for decision making” of the Medical School of National and Kapodistrian University of Athens where he teaches the course Bioethics.

He taught the course “Etiology of cancer” in the post graduate program Neoplastic disease in Human: Research and Clinical Pathology Approach in the Framework of Personalized Medicine. He has been Research Fellow of the Department of Physics  in the sector of Astrophysics-Astronomy and Mechanics.

His research interests include Philosophy of Physics and Astronomy, Philosophy of Nature, Ancient and Byzantine Philosophy, Bioethics and the Evolution of Cosmology from antiquity until modern science and environmental impacts on human health. He has published more than 80 scientific articles in Greek and international peer-reviewed journals, as well as in conference proceedings and has edited volumes of conference proceedings. He is Secretary General of the International Scientific Society of Ancient Greek Philosophy and a member of the Hellenic Physicists Society. Since 2019 he is a Research Fellow at New York College.
