The closing ceremony of the 2nd International InterAthenian Conference entitled “Man and his Creations, foresighting the Future” was held with great success and was attended by a large number of people.
They honored us with their presence: Archimandrite Aristarchos Grekas, the Deputy Regional Governor of the Central Sector of Athens Mr. Giorgos Dimopoulos, the Emeritus Professor of EKPA Mr. Michalis Skoullos, the Deputy Vice-President of SELPE Mr. Antonis Zairis, the retired Lieutenant General Mr. Euthymios Harokopos, retired Major General Mr. Evangelos Papas & the CEO at Arcadia Shipmanagement and President of AHEPA Maritime Chapter “St’ Nicholas” captain Dimitris Matthaiou.
Firstly, the President of Athens Calls Athens Dott. Mr. George Psathas presented the goals of the Cultural Company Athens Calls Athens for the years 2023-2024.
Professor Antonis Calokerinos, Former Deputy Rector for Quality of University Life of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens & President of the 2nd International InterAthenian Conference of Athens Calls Athens, presented us in a particularly elegant way the Conference.
Awards were given to:
- Deputy Governor of the Central Sector of Athens, Mr. Giorgos Dimopoulos, for the continuous political support in the effort of Athens Calls Athens
- Professor Emeritus of EKPA, Mr. Michalis Scoullos for the overall Academic work, the continuous and discreet support to Athens Calls Athens
- Captain Dimitris Matthaiou, for the overall social work as well as the support he provides to the Cultural Company
- Publisher Mr. Dionysis Politis for his kind offer and support to the Cultural Company
The female vocal group “Voices of Women” under the direction of Maestro Antigoni Keretzis, sang Christmas songs.
The evening was completed with a cocktail.
