Professor George Boskou

Μπόσκου Γεώργιος

Dr. Boskou George is Associate Professor in Food Service Organization and Management at the Department of Nutrition & Dietetics at Harokopio University. He has an academic degree in Chemistry from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He has a postgraduate diploma in Food Science & Nutrition and a PhD degree in Applied Biological Sciences from the University of Ghent, Belgium.

He is an accredited auditor for food safety management systems by IRCA and a certified educator in food safety and hygiene. He is a founding member of the Interdisciplinary Society for Food Hygiene Assurance (DEDYT) and the Scientific Society of Olive Encyclopaedists (4E). He is an honorary member of the Chefs Club of Northern Greece “Olympios Zeus”. He is also a member of the Department of Food of the Greek Chemical Society (EEX) and member of the European Federation of Food Science and Technology (EFFoST). His research and educational work is on food safety, total quality management, food legislation, food service, gastronomy and culinology.
