Fossil Fuels and Renewable Sources of Energy are they compatible or are they independent from each other?

What is the relationship between fossil fuels and renewable energy?  Fossil fuels still account for more than 80 percent of global energy production, but cleaner sources of energy are gaining ground. About 29 percent of electricity currently comes from renewable sources.  However, phasing out fossil fuels for renewables may not be a straightforward swap.

In this presentation we will explain if Fossil Fuels can be replaced 100% by renewable sources of energy or if there needs to be a balance where a combination of both will be required to achieve an optimal balance which will benefit climate change and support the energy demands required for economic growth and development.  We will explore the challenges in this energy transition and we will conclude with the potential outcomes of the global energy transition.
