Mukesh Chiman BHATT (m.bhatt@physics.org) is a polymath and accredited chartered physicist currently in the department of Law at Birkbeck College in the University of London, with backgrounds and training in physics, languages and law, and invited publications and presentations in topics including culture, psychology, philosophies, science fiction and defence & aerospace materials. His current research looks at the role of law and space law from economic legal, evolutionary and agential perspectives in migrating to and settling outer space.

A member of the British Interplanetary Society, the Institute of Physics, the European Physical Society, the Network of Researchers for the Chemical Evolution of Life (NoRCEL) and the Association of British Science Writers, he was awarded London Citizen of the Year 2003.

Other interests include the use of space technologies by the elderly and disabled, the interpretation and philosophy of science in different cultures, dance and exercise.
